The primary objective in designing this facility was to ensure the electrical and mechanical systems were mission critical and equally important, efficiently maintained to support scalability and sustain principal performance.

Datacentre

Power Infrastructure
- Two 16 Amps power feeds per rack (32 Amps per Rack Available)
- Two Remote Reboot APC Switched rack PDU's per rack.
- Secured, standby 500KvA Perkins diesel generator, housed inside the facility for security purposes (on 24/7 SLA for repairs)
- The generator can power the entire datacentre for up to 48 hours with the fuel on site (on 24/7 SLA for refueling)
- Three Secured, in-line Riello UPS power conditioners, isolation transformers that limits peak voltage (amplitude) and the edge-speed (frequency) of electrical transients between the mains power and the racks PDU's power.
- Monthly routine systems testing and maintenance.
Air Conditioning
- Fully automatic and intelligent HVAC CRAC system with zone based temperature monitoring and a micro particle air filtration system.
- The datacentre operates using strict thermal guidelines for data processing environments. Temperature is at 22 °C and humidity of 49% with a maximum dew point of 15°C
- 24/7 network monitoring by our Network Operations Center (NOC)
- Juniper 10GbE wire-speed core network
- Domestic peering for high speed traffic delivery within New Zealand
- Redundant Fiber suppliers expandable to 160 Gigabits per second (Vector & Telecom)
- Network DDoS, IDS and IPS detection and prevention systems deployed throughout the network
- Strict Cat6 cabling standards have been uniformly utilised using only the T568B configuration
